Dirk Jans Sweelinck (1591-1652) was born in Amsterdam, Holland and was the son of Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck and became his successor as organist of the Oude Kerk in Amsterdam. He was a member of the Muiderkring .

"Cecilia Lied" (Cecilia's Song) is included in the famous 17th-century music edition 'Livre Septième.

Although originally written for Chorus, I created this arrangement for Woodwind Quintet (Flute, Oboe, Bb Clarinet, French Horn & Bassoon).
