Edward Mechelaere (c.1827 - c.1906) was a German
composer and organist in the classical/romantic period.
Nothing is known of the life of Mechelaere however a
small collection of his works remain including this
Missa in F Major for Chorus (SATB) and Organ in
1880.
Missa solemnis is Latin for solemn mass, and is a genre
of musical settings of the mass ordinary, which are
festively scored and render the Latin text extensively,

Horn & Bassoon) & Strings (2 Violins, Viola & Cello).
