Henry Purcell (1659 - 1695), was an English composer.

This piece is No. 8 of the Abdelazer Suite, written in
1695 by English Baroque composer Hanry Purcell. As a
country dance, this hornpipe is also known under the
title The Hole in the Wall; you might have heard its
tune played in the 1996 A&E production Emma, starring
Kate Beckinsale.
This Hornpipe in B-flat major should not be confused
with the Rondeau in D minor from Abdelazer, which is
also a Hornpipe.
Although originally composed for strings, I created
this arrangement for Viola and Acoustic Piano at the
request of a friend.
