Prince of Saxe-Coburg Gotha Albert

In effect a song for violin and piano, not unlike some of Prince Albert's lieder for voice and piano, this little piece of salon music has a distinctive charm and simplicity. Probably written in the 1840s, it has a straightforward AABBA structure. I have taken the liberty of writing out the repeats in full with the kind of ornamentation common at the time.
