Uns ist ein Kind geboren (Unto us a child is born), is
a Christmas cantata which was formerly attributed to
Johann Sebastian Bach as his BWV 142, but was most
likely composed by his predecessor in Leipzig, Johann
Kuhnau, around 1720.

Although originally scored for 2 Flutes, Alto (voice)
and continuo, I created this arrangement of the Alto
Aria "Jesu, dir sei Preis gesungen" (Jesus, may praise
be sung to you) for String Quartet (2 Violins, Viola &
Cello).
