hardbound volumes called bande dessinées, Lucky Luke
(pronounced Lewky Lewk) battles assorted historical
villains of the 19th century American West. The plots
are convoluted, highly satirical, and a load of fun for
all ages. Luke has a horse named Jolly Jumper, but alas
no sidekick or sweetheart. Fittingly, the final panel
in all the volumes has Luke riding into the sunset
