James Darmody

This suite for two cellos
was written for a friend
of mine several years
ago and is in several
movements. The
attempt was to create a
sound comparable to a
consort of viols. The
style of music and the
form are thus also
reflective of early music
- particularly the string
music. This is the first
movement.
