survécu à cette tempête, il devint pasteur et

est celle d'un vieil air irlandais ou écossais. Selon
certaines sources, elle aurait plutôt été empruntée
aux esclaves eux-mêmes, car selon certaines sources,
elle serait d'origine sud-africaine. Le succès de ce
negro-spiritual a également provoqué une renaissance
d'Amazing Grace dans le domaine de la musique celtique.
C'est aujourd'hui un des airs les plus joués à la
cornemuse.
