Although frightening for the listener, posing numerous
themes for the reveling ghoulies and ghosties, this
piece is even more terrifying to the pianist who might
undertake to actually perform it. None so far have
played it...and survived. [Full disclosure: None so far
have played it at all. Twenty-three key changes in four
minutes has, so far, scared them all away.]
One of your most interesting pieces. Many contrasts in mood/style and some very nice development of thematic material especially in the middle section. Nice. And, yes: scary for a pianist to play in all those keys. This was a pleasure to here and it fits the Halloween theme perfectly.
