Johan Halvorsen (1864 – 1935) was a Norvegian
violinist, composer and conductor. In 1893 he composed
his ‘Passagaglia’ for violin and viola about a
theme of Georg Friedrich Händel, which in concerts
gladly is used into the bargain. We have prepared an
arrangement of this piece for 3 clarinets. The third
part alternatively can be played by a basset clarinet.
