This is my third bagatelle for flute and piano. Much
less ambitious and much lighter, hopefully, than the
prior one. It used one of the many ideas that lie in my
personal "unused material drawer" and I am more or less
satisfied with the result.
What an unusual and very pretty piece. The mercurial quality of the piano score is so engaging and hypnotic and your clever weaving of the flute gives the piece a truly one-of-a-kind feeling. It strikes me as kind of a magical, glimmering score that pops with life and brilliance at every turn. Exquisitely scored, too. So accurate in capturing exactly what you wanted to say. Bravo.
