The motets and choral pieces, composed with the distinctive features of the Madeleine organ in mind, enchant with their colourful, floating harmonies and convey a certain intimacy even with their ritualized Latin texts. These works are very well suited for performances by small vocal ensembles. A novelty is the inclusion of the double bass part (ad libitum) which does not appear consistently in the first editions but corresponds to the musical practice at the Madeleine.Numerous gems such as the “Cantique de Jean Racine†or the “Messe basse†are published in performing editions based on the musical text of the “Gabriel Faur – Å’uvres complètesâ€.

Mahámátar is written for Oriental or Middle-Eastern female voice, distant boys' voices (in a vast acoustic), tubular bells and muted strings. The music is an invocation to the Great Mother Mahámátar in Sanskrit, and to the Theotóke (God-bearer) in Greek. Originally written to accompany a film by Werner Herzog which deals with South American Indians who travel for many miles on their knees to venerate the miraculous Ikon of The Mother of God of Guadalupe. Mahámátar may be performed by a solo voice or alternatively the melody could be played by a solo cello, with decorations and improvisations by the singer.

8 of Pepper Choplin's best-selling anthems have been carefully adapted for the vocal solo or duet performances. Each song has been carefully selected and revised with the soloist in mind. An optional duet/harmony part has also been added. Each vocal part is suitable for either a male or female voice in a medium range. In avoiding extremes in vocal ranges, these selections are of maximum flexibilty and versatility for almost any pair of vocalists. Accompaniment MP3s are available for all songs as well as instrumentation for some titles ranging from rhythm ensemble to full orchestra.
