Composed between 1967 and 1970  Tout Un Monde Lontain for Cello and Orchestra byHenri Dutilleux is one of the most important additions to the Cello repertoire in the 20th century. Lasting nearly half an hour each of the five movements are inspired by a poem of Charles Baudelaire: 1. Énigme / Enigma 2. Regard / Gaze 3. Houles / Surges 4. Miroirs / Mirrors 5. Hymne / Hymn The main theme initially introduced in the first part Énigme / Enigma is often replayed through the piece. The third part Houles / Surges is the most difficult to interpret with aScherzo part that's quite challenging and no break between the movements. Henri Dutilleux was internationally acclaimed for his work winning prizes such as the Gold Medal of the Royal Philharmonic Society and the UNESCO's International Rostrum of Composers among many others. His work also includes a Piano sonata two symphonies the Violin concerto 'L'arbre des songes' (The tree of dreams) and the String quartet 'Ainsi la nuit' (Thus the night).

French composer Henri Büsser entered the Paris Conservatoire in 1889. He won the 1893 Prix de Rome and led a highly successful career as a composer conductor teacher and organist. His compositions for a variety of instruments are exceptional Cantabile Et Scherzando for Trombone and Piano being no exception. As reflected in Cantabile Et Scherzando  Büsser's compositional style was sophisticated yet true to the 19th century French tradition. Elements of the Cantabile include include legato phrasing dotted rhythms and triplets superbly contrasted in the Scherzando by staccato rhythms a quick tempo and scalic passages. For all advanced Trombone players Büsser's Cantabile Et Scherzando is essential to a varied repertoire.

Written by Henri Büsser Andante and Scherzo Op. 44 is a superb composition for Trumpet and Piano. This chamber work was used as an audition piece for the Paris Conservatory and this edition contains the solo scores for B flat and for C Trumpet. Henri Büsser (1872-1913) was a French classical composer and organist. He was a professor at the Paris Conservatoire and a member of the Académie Française. He wrote a ballet numerous operas and chamber music.

Urtext edition.Following a concert by the 14-year old 'wunderkind' Henry Vieuxtemps in 1834 none other than Robert Schumann said 'WithHenri one can safely close one’s eyes. His playing is like a flower at the same time both fragrant and bright'. Vieuxtemps is nowadays considered to be the foremost exponent of the Franco-Belgian Violin school.The composer was however an excellent Viola player and wrote several compositions for the instrument. Sonata Op.36 published in 1862 is one of the gems of Viola literature with its oscillation betweenexpressive maestoso elegiac barcarola and scherzando passages. This edition by Henle is the first Urtext version of the work to be published.

Durant toute sa vie Yves Montand (1921-1991) a promené son regard de velours et son immense talent sur les scènes mondiales. Il fut le chantre du music-hall à l'ancienne digne héritier de Maurice Chevalier Édith Piaf et Charles Trénet. Dans son bagage artistique une prestigieuse carrière cinématographique et des dizaines de chansons. Né dans le village toscan de Monsummano Alto en Italie Ivo Livi est parti de rien pour arriver au sommet. Mais il n'oubliera jamais ceux d'en bas cultivant intelligemment conscience culturelle et conscience politique et sociale. En soixante-dix ans d'une vie bien remplie Montand est entré dans le panthéon de la culture française.
