Jingle Bells" is one of the best-known and commonly sung American songs in the world. It was written by James Lord Pierpont (1822–1893.
The music originally intended for the Thanksgiving season and having no connection to Christmas, but it became associated with Christmas music and the holiday season in general decades after it was first performed on Washington Street in Boston in 1857. However, the lyrics has been set to fit in for Liturgical purpose in Yoruba Language, and it does reflect the birth of Christ and the purpose of His birth. So choirs can adopt it to be sung in the church.
