LYRICS
Das Glück kommt selten per Post, zu Pferde;
es geht zu Fuße, Schritt für Schritt. (2x)
Sein Eigensinn ist nicht zu zwingen;
man mag auch noch so sehr nach seiner Ankunft ringen,
es ändert darum nicht den langsam fortgesetzten Tritt.

Luck rarely comes by mail, on horseback;
it walks step by step.
Its obstinacy cannot be tamed,
no matter how hard you push for its arrival;
it therefore does not change the slowly continued pace.
