When Joseph Haydn (1732 - 1809) lived in Eisenstadt, he composed for prince Esterhazy 125 trios for baryton, viola and cello. Baryton is a now forgotten old string instrument related to cello.
Here we present an arrangement of trio no. 78 for basset horn, viola and cello. In order to adapt the piece better to basset horns, it has been transposed from original d-major to F-major.
