I consider the composer Gaetano Amadeo as my fellow
citizen (although I was not born precisely in Imperia).
In his home town, however, he has lived short time and
has had to migrate elsewhere to find a job. Even today
very few people remember him: a street has been
dedicated to him, where I pass every day, but even the
postmen don't know it, since there is no plaque at the
beginning of the road and the house numbers bear the
name of other streets.
