Très belle sonatine ,très réussie .Par moment le premier mouvement m?a évoqué certaines ?uvres pour piano de Charles Koechlin ,élève et ami de G Faure. Bravo.
The melodic lines of the second mvt. contrast very good with the first movement itself despite they be sharing key. Might be the tempo what is causing that contrast effect in my brain? It works, in any case.
The third is even more melancholic than the first one. I don't know if my mind is failing me but I remind that during the listen of a few of your sonatinas, the usual order of the three first movements was [Moderate speed-slow-fast] which is more or less the inverse of what you did here.
But well this is a four-movement sonatina anyway. I am curious about how you ended up with this one, did you think about anything in particular during its composition?
By the way, some melodic motives that you show in your interpretation of the fourth movement are very, very beautiful!
↪ Thanks, Charlie. The format of this one was a little different from previous sonatinas. Thought I would mix it up a little. I am glad you were able to listen and am, as always, very grateful for your gracious comments. Thanks so much for them.
Bravo.
