Children's Games

This is an arrangement for marimba band of Laurent Buczek's Children's Games. It is a modulation exercise using seventh chords. The melody is catchy and the students really enjoyed it. Thank you Laurent.

The Fairy Festival

This is an arrangement for marimba band of "The Fairy Festival." The original piece is for piano and works well with call and response. We also added some color with wind chimes and an ocean drum. Thank you BoRa Sar for your kind permission to use the piece.


Variations on “Stride la Vampa”

This piece for 2 tubas is based on Azucena’s alto aria from Giuseppe Verdi’s opera “Il Trovatore.” I always liked the theme since we studied it in music literature class in 1990.

"Hot Cross Buns" Variations

Variations on the traditional English street cry, "Hot Cross Buns." Enjoy the music and be creative with your form. On this recording, we return to the theme after each variation. It creates a type of rondo form.
