The famous Gymnopédie No.1 is probably the most famous
piece by the French composer Erik Satie (1866-1925). A
few weeks ago, guitarist Brandon Acker uploaded a video
to YouTube in which he comments on his first recording
of this piece from 2012 and presents a new performance.
Inspired by his beautiful interpretations, I began to
study his guitar arrangement and compare it to the
original piano version. I found out that some details
of his arrangement, even if they sound very nice and

guitaristic, are a little different from the original
composition, and I decided to rearrange the piece to
play in in my own way. At the time, I didn't plan to
publish the score of my arrangement, but as you can
see, I've changed my mind.
