"Love Is Here to Stay" è una popolare canzone composta
da George Gershwin con le parole di Ira Gershwin per il
film "The Goldwin Follies" (1938). Scritta nel 1937, fu
l'ultima composizione di George Gershwin, il quale non
poté vederla completata con le parole del fratello
Ira. La canzone divenne popolare quando fu utilizzata
nel film "An American in Paris" (1951).
PAROLES It's very clear, our love is here to stay
Not for a year but ever and a day
The radio and the telephone and the movies that we know
May just be passing fancies and in time may go
But oh, my dear, our love is here to stay
Together we're going a long, long way
In time the Rockies may crumble, Gibraltar may tumble
They're only made of clay
But our love is here to stay
In time the Rockies may crumble, Gibraltar may tumble
They're only made of clay
But our love is here to stay

Swing is a unique style....a rocking feel....Europeans will often write swing in a 12/8 meter to produce the quarter note-eight note jazzy feel.....I will post a score of this piece so that you might compare the quarter note pattern in your piano part to the syncopated piano part in the original jazzy way.....this is not a criticism at all....just a friendly suggestion on style....
