As I was looking through some old piano books my eyes
fell upon one that my mother used to teach to her

A faint memory stirred. I opened the book and flicked
through the pages. With bated breath I came towards No.
16 in the book, and opened the page. Yes! There it was!
Until that occasion I had forgotten that I had
transcribed the piece some years previously. And there,
waiting faithfully for me was a loose copy of my score.
I immediately set about typesetting it, and now, with a
few (mature) adjustments, here it is.
A superb transcription that falls under the fingers as if written for the guitar. Good use is made of the bass sonorities for the climax, and in this arrangement one also has the option of allowing open strings to ring out in the melodic part, allowing the tender ambience of the piece to sing. In terms of difficulty I would rate it intermediate because of the smooth shifts needed for the chords. Artistically, it is a most excellent addition to the repertoire and worthy of the original. Thank you Mr Harte!
