Microphone/inst.preamp/discrete line, 500 format The WA12-500 gives very good results with all types of microphones, whether dynamic, condenser or ribbon microphones. Dynamic and ribbon microphones have generally low output levels and require no external power supply. Condenser microphones generally have a higher sensitivity than dynamic or ribbon microphones and require 48V external phantom power. The WA12-500 is a high voltage, fully discrete mic pre-filled circuit with two transformers. It offers a high gain level ( 71 dB), a large power reserve, a reduced noise level and impeccable sound performance that allows it to adapt to all recording applications. The WA12-500 uses custom-made CineMag input and output transformers manufactured in the United States. CineMag transformers are found in many high quality professional audio equipment, including the Pacifica A-Designs preamp and Presonus ADL-700, Universal Audio LA-610 and Fink CS2-FA console slices. characteristics : 71 dB gain. CineMag Custom Input and Output Transformers Made in the United States Input impedance switchable between 600 and 150 ohms (Tone button) to change the sound of the microphone and instrument inputs Completely discreet circuit High voltage operating amplifier type 1731 Phantom power 48V Mic input on XLR and balanced jack Double output on XLR and balanced jack High impedance instrument input (2 Mohms) on front panel. The instrument signal passes through the entire circuit, including the two CineMag transformers and the discrete operational amplifier. This input is ideal for guitar, bass, keyboards, etc. Output level attenuation control (after the transformer), to saturate the preamp and transformer. 20 dB attenuator (Pad button) External mains transformer to lower the noise level
