Warm Audio has studied every aspect of its direct boxes to maximize the integrity of the sound, from the custom CineMag USA transformer to the potentiometer and switches. You can count on a natural and full sound, even with a long cable length, and its extruded aluminum case will ensure a long service life. When you need to convert an instrument level signal to the microphone level, with sound quality as a priority, the Warm Audio direct boxes will meet your needs. Designed around a transformer from the world famous brand CineMag USA, like no other direct box in the world, they integrate a printed circuit with gold-plated tracks and high-end discrete components, housed in a robust aluminum chassis with switches, buttons and connectors that are designed to withstand road or studio abuse. The Warm audio direct boxes are incredibly transparent. They will not deteriorate the sound or the grain of your instrument ... except by making it better. The built-in variable pad from -3 to -30 dB allows great versatility of use by allowing easy attenuation of the input level of any instrument. A direct box converts an asymmetrical high impedance signal to a symmetrical low impedance signal, for example to plug directly, into a mixer or sound card, an electric instrument such as a guitar, bass, keyboard, or rhythm machine . By doing this, the instrument signal is converted to the correct level for the mixer or sound card, which avoids and eliminates the risk of signal distortion or deterioration. Passive direct boxes are more suitable for balancing the signal of instruments with active electronics. They also work very well with passive microphones thanks to their extended frequency response, compared to most direct boxes on the market. The WA-DI-P also has a Thru jack output connected to the jack input, allowing the signal to be sent to another point in addition to the mixer or the sound card. It can also be used to send a signal at line level to another line input and simultaneously send the signal at microphone level via the XLR output of the direct box.
