Through genres and generations, the sound of a half-stack pushed to the max with Overdrive, Boost and Distortion, has become a standard in the world of rock. No genre was more strongly influenced by these iconic sounds than the pioneers of metal and hard rock in the late \'70s and\' 80s. Think of Judas Priest, RATT, Def Leppard, Iron Maiden, Ozzy ... their combination of amps and pedals has resulted in some of the most iconic tones of all time. The Diamondhead captures the power and versatility of these heroes, so it fits on any pedalboard. Three powerful active EQ controls maximize the potential for gain. A well-defined bass control with surgical precision that cuts at 80Hz, making the bass tremendous, but never muddy. A control of the midrange limited to 800Hz allows to obtain a modern aggressive attack. And a treble control, set at 6kHz, adds sizzle, cut and attack. The SAT Switch (based on our 805 Overdrive) adds 24dB gain to the boost; which tightens the bass for a more aggressive and defined attack. Regardless of the Drive section, the Boost (activated lower left) offers 0 to 15 dB gain and can be used as a super power boost or to push an amp to the max \'in the overdrive. If you use it with an already fat amp, it will make your gain level even higher. If you\'ve been through a bunch of overdrive, distortion and boost pedals, always looking for that quintessential 80\'s metal and hard-rock sound, the Diamondhead is the very heart of your guitar\'s character, capturing the \'rock\' n roll spirit of a high gain head, pushed to the max of its abilities.
