A memorable earworm countermelody unifies three stanzas of the familiar hymn tune BROTHER JAMES' AIR. In the middle minor section the melody moves to the bass against thumb-damped treble chords. Then the countermelody returns and leads us to a final triumphant statement. This compelling arrangment assures us that the Lord truly is our Good Shepherd making it ideal for the Easter season as well as general occasions.
