While the value of authenticity in the performance of Baroque music is now widely appreciated, many players still feel daunted by the task of realising the unadorned melodies and basses of Corelli’s Op. 5 Violin Sonatas in their original form. Fortunately, Gustav Jensen’s edition of these works provides an ideal solution to the problem.
