4-6 Octaves of Handbells Level 5-Here is a posthumous rerelease of beloved handbell writer Betty Garee of her setting of Edvard Grieg's Dug Der Zwerge. This level 5 piece will serve as a show-stopper for any concert.

Par GRIEG EDVARD. With his ?Lyric Pieces?, Edvard Grieg was writing a kind of poetic piano diary: between 1867 and 1901 he composed 66 short character pieces, published in ten books. Pieces such as ?Wedding Day at Troldhaugen?, ?March of the dwarfs? or ?To the spring? are among Grieg?s best-known works. Alongside these fairly virtuosic pieces there are also numerous simpler dances and melodies that can be played at an early stage when learning the piano. Until now only five single books were available from Henle (HN 619, 627, 644, 681, 713), but now we are publishing the complete collection in a collected volume, with fingerings by the Norwegian pianist and Grieg specialist Einar Steen-Nøkleberg. / Date parution : 2021-12-09/ Recueil / Piano

From Grieg's Lyric Pieces, Op. 54, this well-known and descriptive 1891 composition was written after the composer's trip to the Jotunheimen mountains in Norway, and is meant to portray mystical nocturnal creatures swarming about with much boisterous activity. Written in D minor, the dynamic tone painting ranges from a whisper all the way up to a thunderous marching chorus of multitudes of marching dwarves, contrasted by a peaceful, idyllic and folksong-like middle section.
