Undercurrents provides an electrifying, virtuosic showcase for the whole ensemble – featuring a series of solos, duets and trios, as well as highlighting the various chamber sections within the band. The music was inspired by watching schools of fish and flocks of birds perpetually moving with the ocean currents and air currents. Every once in a while a single solo shape will appear – or two or three – they dance apart for a moment and then are drawn back into the ensemble. Commissioned by the Naden Band of the Royal Canadian Navy, Victoria, BC, this is a powerful tour-de-force from beginning to end. Duration: c. 6:30.

This beautifully presented edition from Novello offers a full Mass setting alongside a Motet, both for large mixed chorus, by Tomas Luis De Victoria. Regarded by many as one of the greatest composers of Spanish renaissance polyphony, this Mass setting is rich in his characteristic tonalities and the textures of the sacred choral tradition. Alongside this is the original Motet upon which the Mass setting is based. Both are transcribed and edited by Andrew Parker. The pairing of the two works offers an exciting and fascinating performance opportunity, with the devout grandeur of the Mass set against the modesty of the original Motet. Missa Dum Complerentur for SAATTB voices. Motet: Dum Complerentur Dies Pentecostes for SSATB voices.

Completed in 1992, Corrente was commissioned by the Swedish Literature Society Of Finland. As the title suggests, the piece bids a nod to the Baroque dance form , the Courante, based upon an ever-shifting series of repeating ostinati - the piece even contains a fleeting glimpse of Purcell's Funeral Music For Queen Mary. However, a simple exercise in Baroque dance it is not. The title also translates as Flowing, and the ostinati create a texture of ripples that contrast strongly with the stronger rhythms of the dance.

This book is the guide for teachers to give to all parents enrolled in First Steps in Music classes.  First Steps in Music Parent Handbook provides teachers of parent-child classes a concise and detailed resource that establishes the goals and objective for the infant and toddler or preschool classes. The primary goal of the First Steps in Music classes is for each child to reach his or her musical potential. Parent participation is the key ingredient to the success of the program. By establishing a clearly defined set of expectations for teachers, parents, and children, the parents will be able to replicate their child's classroom musical experiences at home. In Chapter 2 of the First Steps in Music Parent Handbook, the teacher and parents will find information about registration, class schedules, tuition, fees, cancellation policies, make up policies, and more. Chapter 3 gives detailed expectations for teachers, parents, and children. Chapter 4 outlines the class structure and curriculum components for each type of class. The classes are divided into four age-related sections: (1) Infants: birth to 12 months, (2) Toddler: 13 to 29 months, (3) Nursery: 30 to 42 months, (4) Preschool: 3.5 to 5 years. Chapter 5 discusses the Lending Library. Chapter 6 addresses the techniques used during class. Chapter 7 is a commitment form for the parents that says they agree to the guidelines suggested in the handbook. This much-needed book is a must for any teacher wanting to set up parent-child infant and toddler or preschool classes where the ultimate goal is to help children become musically independent and develop a lifelong love and appreciation of music as they become tuneful, beatful, and artful!
