She has an MA in choral education and holds many other musical qualifications. Sheruns regular 'popular and world style' singing workshops as well as national training sessions for adults and children. In addition she runs three adult community choirs where all the music is learned by ear and is mostly self arranged.One of Gitika's major loves is a cappella vocal arranging which she does for her three choirs and her vocal workshops. Her arrangements are used by youth and community choirs across the UK and internationally. This book contains the first of many of her arrangements she would like to share even more widely.She is a member of the Natural Voice Practitioner Network an organisation that believes in singing as a spontaneous way of expressing joy celebration and grief and as a medium for binding communities together. Gitika shares the network's belief that singing together should be available to all and is not about having 'a good voice'. All of her groups are non-audition and open to anyone who wants to sing.

Five dance-inspired movements for SATB and Piano-Written for SATB choir and piano with optional audience participation Pas de deux is a work consisting of five movements by Paul Smith the co-founder of VOCES8 and author of The VOCES8 Method. The movements can be performed individually or as one complete work. Pas de deux is inspired by the dance duet found in ballet and the music takes the duet element of the dance to create a relationship between the performers and audience enabling interaction between them and giving the option for performers and audience to make music together. Suitable for all ages this piece offers opportunities both to create and to perform informed by Paul Smithâ??s expertise in leadingparticipatory music events with hundreds of thousands of people around the world. Commissioned by the Vasari Singers to celebrate their 25th anniversary this anthem sets a text by former Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams a translation of an 18th-century Welsh poem by Ann Griffiths. The outer sections portray the poet’s sense of longing; the text's intensity is reflected in the building textures and subtle chromaticism. The middle section is rhythmically intricate with contrapuntal textures. A highly effective and varied work of around seven minutes suitable for church and concert use which intermediate to advanced choirs will find very rewarding.

Organ Solo Mass-The Mass K.259 known as the Organ Solo Mass on account of an important organ passage in the Benedictus will have been written around 1775/76. On l7th May 1778 the Prince-Archbishop Colloredo consecrated his cousin Anton Theodor Count Colloredo-Mels und Wallsee Archbishop of Olmütz. The Prince of the Church had not commissioned a Mass for the consecration and had left the choice up to Leopold Mozart who assumed the office as Kapellmeister in that week.
