Qui Tollis Peccata Mundi

Composé en 2006 pour la 15e Oleg Kagan Festival à Wildbad Kreuth, ' Agnus Dei ' est une des oeuvres méditative de Mansurjan dans lequel il vise à une synthèse de nouvelles techniques et de la vieille tradition musicale arménienne également alimenté par la folk et la musique d'église. Le quatuor est basé sur trois textes de la messe en Latin (I Agnus Dei, II Qui tollis peccata mundi, Miserere III) comme idée intellectuelle - sa forme musicale se caractérise par retenue mélodique, modèles ostinato rythmique et les structures de l'intervalle ainsi que par les couches transparentes, oscillants sonores.
