This work was designed not only to live well in the concert hall, but also to transition into the church sanctuary. You can expect to hear the composer's trademark cinematic moments, soaring choral melodies, and impressionistic chord structures in this Requiem. More importantly, you will find the vulnerable humanity that has become synonymous with her writings. This work is a combination of traditional Latin and English, with references to Scripture and hymn texts.
