Diane Bish is a renowned organist and her compositions reflect her keyboard excellence. The choral music by Franz Joseph Haydn (from “Creation”) is firm and fulfilling but it is the organ part that exalts it tofestival status. A real crowd pleaser in worship or concert it is also an august anthem of praise to God.

Based on the Henle Complete Edition of the Works of Joseph Haydn.Orchestral parts available in a large format (25.5 x 32.5 cm).Haydn?s Symphony No.26 received its nickname Lamentazione during his lifetime though it is unclear whether this stems directly from the composer. This work probably originated no later than 1770. Its first and second movements quote excerpts from Gregorian chants used in Holy Week. In Haydn?s day it was customary to play individual movements in church services and it may be assumed that these two movements were performed and possibly composed independently from each other.Continuing thecollaboration between Bärenreiter and the Henle publishing company in the areas of large-scale choral works operas and symphonies Haydn?s Symphony No.26 is appearing based on the Henle Complete Edition of the Works of Joseph Haydn. Haydn's Symphony Hob. I:89 belongs to a group of symphonies composed between the ?Paris? symphonies (Hob. I:82-87) and their ?London? counterparts (Hob. I: 93-104) the last ones he wrote before his trips to England in 1791-92 and 1794-95.The Symphony in F major is dated 1787 in the autograph score. In this work Haydn borrowed two movements from an earlier piece possibly owing to deadline pressure. The second and fourth movements are arrangements of movements 2 and 3 from his Concerto in F major Hob. VIIh:5 for two ?lire organizzate? and orchestra. The fact that he also arranged movements from his other lire concertos suggests that heregarded them as a sort of musical quarry. This at least allowed him to recycle parts of these works after his patron had probably prohibited him from offering them commercially. This edition continues the collaboration with the Henle publishing company regarding Haydn's large-scale choral works operas and symphonies. It is based on the Henle Complete Edition of the Works of Joseph Haydn. Frauenchor-For performance material on sale use regular 4-part edition BA4653.Arrangement for SMezAA based on the Henle Complete Edition of the Works of Joseph Haydn.Idiomatic Piano reduction.Haydn presumably wrote his Missa brevis in 1775 for the Brothers Hospitallers of Eisenstadt Abbey. The work takes its nickname the âLittle Organ Massâ from the Organ solo in the Benedictus. This arrangement for female choir (SMezAA) is based on the complete edition of the Works of Joseph Haydn. The original soprano and alto parts have for the most part been taken over as has the soprano solo in the Benedictus. The tenor and bass parts are distributed among themezzo-sopranos and altos with a few well thought-out alterations to preserve the harmonic structure. Heribert Breuer has retained the original substance with great skill while giving the work a wholly new and attractive sound.Heribert Breuer was professor of choral conducting and music theory at Berlin University of the Arts until 2010. He is the founder and conductor of the Berlin Bach Academy.

When Christa Landon presented the first printed version of her edition of Joseph Haydn's Piano sonatas Haydn's sonata oeuvre was still overshadowed by the works of Mozart and Beethoven. Since then Haydn's sonatas have progressed from the teaching rooms to the concert halls and Landon's edition has played a crucial role in that process. The Haydn anniversary in 2009 is a welcome occasion to thoroughly revise this 'legendary' edition for over the course of more than forty years new sources have come to light and questions of authenticity have been resolved not least because the editorial principles for 18th-centurymusic have changed considerably. The new edition comprises all works of the previous Wiener Urtext edition plus the sonata Hob. XVI:16 edited by Landon along with the Sonata in F major which was rediscovered in Bozen a few years ago and attributed to Joseph Haydn. The new edition is published in four volumes the content of each volume being compatible with the volumes of the previous edition. Volumes 1 and 2 contain the early sonatas. In the Notes on Interpretation Robert D. Levin explains important aspects of Haydn's performance practice.
