This moving arrangement of Silent Night by Dr Barry Rose was written when he was Organist and Master of the Choristers at Guildford Cathedral. The choir released it on their best-selling record Christmas Carols from Guildford Cathedral 1966 and the arrangement has been frequently performed since then. The inner Voices create movement in the held notes of the melody and a short treble solo adds a particularly lovely detail.
