I agree with the similarities in my general style. As for nocturnes, I always picture an elegant evening party with lavish surroundings and a small orchestra either accompanying dancing or entertaining in the background as the evening progresses. It should not be surprising that these pieces are mostly waltzes and that they are somewhat episodic in nature. The sonatinas, I think, are a bit more academic and do not particularly derive their content and direction from any visual or emotional imagery. On the other hand, maybe I should just give all my compositions a number and call it a day.
