two-part setting to the evening poem by Agnes Franz:
Wie könnt' ich ruhig schlafen in dunkler Nacht(How
could I sleep peacefully in the dark of night). He
published it in the fourth volume of his Children
songs.
In 1862 the poem "So nimm denn meine Hände" of Julie
Hausmann, a Baltic German, was anonymously published by
Gustav Knak in a book entitled: Maiblumen, Lieder einer
Stillen im Lande (May Flowe...(+)
