In 1924 the melody of this dance became the famous English carol "Ding, Dong, Merrily on High" by the words of George Ratcliffe Woodward and the harmonization of Charles Wood first published in "The Cambridge Carol-Book, being 52 Songs for Christmas, Easter, and other Seasons", London 1924.
