This is a transcription of Atahualpa Yupanqui's beautiful instrumental arrangement of the argentinean zamba "La Tristecita". He recorded this piece on the 28.th of June 1962 in Argentina for the record label Odeon and it was released on the record "Selva, Pampa Y Cerro" in 1964. According to the list of recordings (www.atacris.com) "La Tristecita" was originally composed by Ariel Ramírez (music) and his wife Maria Elena Espiro (lyrics) in 1945.
