Mieczys?aw Surzy?ski (born on December 22, 1866 in ?roda Wielkopolska , died on September 11, 1924 in Warsaw ) - Polish composer , organist , conductor and teacher .
He was educated in the field of organ playing at the Conservatoire in Berlin and Leipzig . From 1890 , he was the artistic director and director of the orchestra of the Pozna? Music Society . In the years 1906 - 1909 he was the choirmaster of the Warsaw Philharmonic . From 1906 to 1924 he was a professor of organ playing at the Music Institute in Warsaw , and from 1909 he taught counterpoint . His most famous work are Improvisations on the Polish church song "Saint God" op. 38.
