The total duration of this guitar music is around 3 minutes. The piece has various techniques for the budding guitarist to explore such as slurs and slides, arpeggios in the B section, and finally harmonics. The key signature is D major. The Time signature is 6/8 and the tempo is Larghetto.

Born in Florence, Italy, Matteo Carcassi (1792 - 1853) began learning the piano as a child, and followed this by learning the guitar. From 1820 Carcassi conducted his career from Paris, where he had stiff competition from another Italian guitarist Ferdinando Carulli. There was nevertheless a voracious market for his solo guitar compositions. He had a subscription to Francesco Molino's "Nouvelle Méthode pour la Guitare", which was a popular teaching book at the time. Carcassi's compositions appealed to students of the guitar as the pieces were technically accessible. However, his works have been performed and recorded by many sublime performers as well.

Mp3 recording from youtube is performed by Kazuo Aoki.

What a wonderful find! This justifies he internet's existence. Too bad Matteo himself could not see the enjoyment of his work being spread so effectively.
