Japanese traditional song sakura sakura was primarily
played on shakuhachi (bamboo flute). During World War
II, the sakura being an enduring metaphor for the
ephemeral nature of life, was used to motivate the
Japanese pilots. They would paint them on the sides of
their suicide planes. Their souls were reincarnated in
the blossoms.
I play the Bassoon and this was a piece of cake and me and my friend we are both in the 7th grade band and we played this for are concert and we also played Nana by richard kearns and it was me my friends (oboe player and a flute player)
