This Russian Tango was commissioned in 1996 by the boss
of a fine Russian restaurant "Gorki" in Antwerp. The
theme that I' ve used is very famous in Russia. In the
audio MP3 file you can listen to a recording that I've
made together with the violinist Nico Baltussen. He is
my collegue at the Musicacademy of Sint-Niklaas in
Belgium.
The trio that I play piano with?Bodalo Trio?loves playing this piece. We have just performed it at a Performance Group gathering and have had great comments about it. We are clarinet, cello, and piano.

I really like the sultry feel to this piece. I wish there was more intricacy in the piano voicings though. A little more spice in it but overall it is nice and smooth.
