Lá szló Dubrovay's work, written in 2006, on the 250th anniversary of Mozart's birth, is a salute of a 21st-century composer to one of the greatest geniuses in the history of music. The composer builds his original ideas on one of the best-known melodies of The Marriage of Figaro (Figaro's aria: ''Non pi? andrai, farfallone amoroso''). The series of variations on the theme of the aria is created by the involvement of special instruments, and by fully harnessing their technical abilities, while Dubrovay's hallmark of a perfect balance and peculiar compositional tone is realised on an exceptionally large orchestra. The work is suited to illustrate the potentials of crossovers between different periods in the history of music, but it can also be played at a festive, thematic concert.

Mozart belongs to everyone! The experience of actually playing Mozart's music makes him real and more than just a name we associate with old music. Stephen Bulla's arrangement of the first movement of what may arguably be Mozart's greatest symphony has a great deal of authenticity. Much more than many just the tune type transcription/ arrangements, Mr. Bulla's work ambitiously explores a good portion of Mozart's miraculous musical development, so that your musicians can begin to understand the true genius of the Classical icon. Those who know Mozart will appreciate the integrity of the transcription. Those who don't know Mozart have a wonderful treat in store!A classic!

Based on the famous melody from the Adagio movement of the Clarinet Concerto by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, this work has a beautiful lyrical quality to it. Compositions of this nature require the ability to play with great expression. The wonderful talent and genius of Mozart is clearly perceptible in this unforgettable melody. Celebrate Mozart’s 250th anniversary with this most popular brass band work.
