Les trois sonates opus 2 de Ludwig van Beethoven datent du d but de la p riode consacr e par le compositeur ce genre mais n ont rien des t tonnements d uvres pr coces. Aucune note ne pourrait en tre chang e chaque mouvement est r gi par une logique coh rente. Cinq ans apr s la mort de Mozart se r v le ici un nouveau g nie. Dat e de 1795 la grande sonate en ut majeur op. 2 no 3 est brillante et de plus grande envergure que les deux autres sonates de l op. 2. Elle accorde aussi une place plus importance la virtuosit . Sa tonalit d ut majeur poss de d j les accents festifs et victorieux de la sonate Waldstein et du finale de la 5e symphonie.
