Leopold Godowsky: Alt Wien (Old Vienna): Piano: Instrumental Work

Leopold Godowsky (1870-1938) was a Jewish naturalised-American pianist and composer and was said to be the first person to add anything of significance to the Keyboard genre since Franz Liszt. Famously his Studies on Chopin s Etudes are considered to be among the hardest works for Piano ever written. Written in a single day Alt Wien (Old Vienna) is No. 11 of his 1920 suite Triaontameron and is one of his best loved easy works for solo Piano.
