Elle a commencé à vendre et à écrire de la musique pour les harpes celtiques dans les années 1970, alors que l'instrument était peu connu aux États-Unis, contribuant ainsi à une vague d'intérêt pour la harpe et la musique celtique. Constatant un manque de répertoire et de ressources pour la harpe folk, Sylvia a commencé à écrire et à arranger de la musique spécifiquement pour la harpe folk (ou harpe à levier) en 1978. Arranged for Harp-“Fields of Gold” is a beautiful song composed by Sting on the album Ten Summoner’s Tales. It is a hugely popular piece often being performed at weddings. This piece offers two arrangements by Sylvia Woods that can be played on either the lever or pedal Harp. Both arrangements are four pages long including chord symbols and fingerings. Both arrangements are in the key of C and no pedal or lever changes are needed. The intermediate arrangement requires a Harp range of 22 strings or 3 octaves from C to C the advanced beginner arrangement requires 19 strings from F up to C. If you are playing on a small Harp youshould consider playing an octave higher than written in this arrangement. Both beginner and advanced arrangements are included in this product.  

Arranged for Lever or Pedal Harp-Sylvia Woods has included two harp arrangements of Ed Sheeran's “Perfect” in this folio. Both versions can be played on either lever harp or pedal harp. The first arrangement (pages 1 through 6) is the complete piece. The shorter two-page version on pages 7 and 8 includes only the first verse. It is exactly the same as the first 52 measures of the complete version with a short ending added. This version is perfect for wedding processionals and other occasions when your playing time is limited and you don't want to worry about turning pages.
