Some of the hymn tunes are known with different titles and lyrics. Accompaniments have purposely been kept easy. Chord symbols provide the pianist with an alternative to the printed accompaniment. A new accompaniment may be improvised based on the chord symbols. Every hymn is easily adaptable to organ chord organ and piano accordion by means of the chord symbols which may also be used for guitar.
