Dans mes cours de violoncelle, je consacre toujours les cinq premières minutes à des jeux de formation de l'oreille que j'ai inventés. Ce rituel est un moment très précieux où l'élève se concentre, ouvre ses oreilles et expérimente son instrument par de nouvelles approches.Ces jeux ont beaucoup de succès auprès des élèves et plusieurs collègues m'ont demandé de les leur transmettre pour les pratiquer dans leurs cours. C'est pourquoi j'ai décidé de les regrouper dans une méthode, s'adressant à tous les professeurs de violoncelle qui cherchent des outils pour aider leurs élèves à progresser et qui souhaitent diversifier leur cours en expérimentant de nouvelles méthodes.Des oreilles magiques est une méthode originale par de nombreux aspects :L'oralitéL'élève ne voit jamais la méthode, qui fait uniquement appel à la transmission orale. Chaque jeu proposé est faisable dès le premier cours de violoncelle et jusqu'aux plus hauts niveaux, et s'adresse aux enfants comme aux adultes.Le cinquième niveau est présenté sur un ton humoristique pour mettre en évidence le caractère illimité des progrès potentiels.Le lien avec le chantCette méthode emploie le chant comme un outil central du travail de l'oreille. Beethoven completed his String Quartet Op.135 at Wasserdorf Castle in Gneixenhof, where he sought to recuperate with his nephew Karl after the latter?s failed suicide attempt in summer 1826. It stands out among his late quartets owing to the often cheerful, almost pastoral character of its four movements. Since Beethoven?s death it has often been interpreted as an attempt to take wise and positive stock of the mishaps that had befallen him in the preceding years regarding his life situation, family and health. Borrowing its title from the writings of John Stuart Mill, Experiments in Living leads the performers through a series of idiosyncratic episodes featuring extremes of gesture and extended technique over the course of a single, 16-minute movement. Commissioned by the Fromm Foundation, String Quartet 1.5: Experiments in Living was composed for Spektral Quartet, who gave the premiere performance in October 2016 at Chicago\'s Harris Theater. This set of score and parts has been made available for sale by Edition Peters as part of the Peters Contemporary Chamber Series and includes full performance notes. The brightness of D Major is perfect for string orchestra, and the yellow color of the mimosa flower reminds me of this key. Mimosa Shower opens with a vivid impressionistic introduction, followed by a gently flowing theme. Every instrument plays the melody which flows side to side. Yukiko Nishimura creates a dialogue between the sections of the orchestra, asking each part to have awareness of the conversation and to respond musically. The orchestra creates harmonies which ebb and flow as the wind blows through the mimosas.
