Les Suites pour violoncelle de Jean-Sébastien Bach ont été composées entre 1717 et 1723 et sont au nombre de six (BWV1007 à BWV1012). Seules les trois premières ont été transcrites pour la basse dans cet ouvrage (en solfège et tablatures), ce qui représente déjà un travail de très grande ampleur. Pour un bassiste, jouer ces pièces représente un véritable défi. Mais un défi qui vaut la peine ! Ces pièces sont en effet tellement belles qu'une fois que vous aurez commencé à les travailler, vous ne pourrez tout simplement plus vous en passer !
