Annelies is the first adaptation of the diary of Anne Frank into a large-scale choral work. It brings to life the diary written by Annelies Marie Frank between 1942 and 1944 when she and her family hid in the backof an Amsterdam warehouse. Scored for Soprano soloist and SATB chorus with Piano reduction this vocal score can be used for both the chamber and orchestral versions of the work.

Anton n Dvorák?s D major Mass differs markedly from his other large choral compositions. Written for a private occasion this work of some half-hour?s duration is remarkable for the fascinating simplicity of its harmonic language and compositional workmanship. Martyr was commissioned by St Albans Chamber Choir in celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of their founding. It was premiered by the St Albans Chamber Choir and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in St Albans Abbey on 24 January 2009 under the direction of John Gibbons. Martyr was written as a counterpart to Haydn's Missa in Angustiis ('Nelson' Mass) using the same orchestration as Haydn's original version. In venues where an organ is present the optional organ part should always be used. The four SATB solo parts should be performed by a group of singers placed to the side or to the front of the orchestra away from the main chorus. The issue of the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis by Thomas Tallis is a vexed one for scholars as the only surviving manuscript is incomplete. In this manifestation the editors have set the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis to Gregorian ‘tones’ and employed verses by Thomas Tallis with faux bourdon. The notation is partially in Gregorian neumes on a four-line staff and partially in modern notation.The work alternates between chanted unison phrases and five part SSATB Choral verse.

All of Bach’s six authenticated motets were written between 1723 and 1727 for St Thomas’ Church Leipzig where Bach was appointed as director of music in 1723. During this period Bach composed most of his cantatas and it seems likely that for ordinary Sunday services he used existing motets from the seventeenth century tradition reserving his own motet compositions for special occasions. Four of his six motets were written for the funeral services of prominent members of the St Thomas’ congregation. Jesu Meine Freude (BWV 227) the longest most musically complex and earliest of the six was written in1723 for the funeral of Johanna Maria Käsin the wife of Leipzig’s postmaster. POD-Pawe ukaszewski's Daylight Declines for SSATBB choir unaccompanied.
